Denali's Hills and Mountains

Snow dusts a hillside in Alaska's Denali National Park and Preserve. Interior Alaska experienced an unusually long stretch of snowy weather in late April and early May of 2013. This photo was taken from May 18-20 of 2013, the weekend before the Denali Park Road closed down to private vehicles past mile 15 for the beginning of the summer tourist season. There is rarely this much snow dusting the park's fields and forests at this time of year.
